FYSA Coaching Courses Bring Top-Tier Talent & Learning Opportunities Across Florida
Over the past few weeks, Raul Jara, FYSA’s Coaching Education Specialist, has been on the road, hosting high-level Coaching Education Courses in Tampa, Jacksonville, and Kissimmee. These in-person sessions weren’t just about instruction—they were an opportunity for coaches to learn from some of the best in the game and build connections that elevate coaching standards across Florida.

Our courses featured a diverse and accomplished group of participants, including:
Professional and Academy Representation
Coaches from five professional and academy teams took part coaching in the courses and shared their expertise, representing:
- Orlando City
- New England Revolution
- Portland Timbers
- Pittsburgh Riverhounds
- Hercules CF (Spain)
Collegiate Coaching Presence
Nine current head or assistant college coaches took part, representing:
- Barry University (NCAA D2)
- George Washington University (NCAA D1)
- University of South Florida (NCAA D1)
- Flagler College (NCAA D2)
- Florida State University (NCAA D1)
- University of Maryland Baltimore County (NCAA D1)
- Lynn University (NCAA D2)
- College of Staten Island (NCAA D2)
National Presence
Coaches from 11 different states traveled to Florida for these courses, bringing perspectives and experiences from Hawaii, Maryland, Colorado, Pennsylvania, California, New York, Connecticut, Kentucky, Michigan, Oregon, and Minnesota.
Youth Soccer Representation
Florida’s top youth clubs were also well-represented, with coaches from: Fish Hawk, FL Premier, FL Celtic, United Soccer Alliance, FL Prime, Nona Soccer Academy, OC Academy, Florida Rush, Weston FC, Strikers Miami, Wellington SC, OC Lake Nona, Miami Futbol Rush Academy, OC Hunters Creek, Palm Beach Gardens Predators, and St. Pete Raiders.


On-Field Insights and Elite Training Access
This wasn’t just classroom learning—coaches gained hands-on experience with top programs:
- Tampa & Jacksonville C Courses: Coaches observed and interacted with the University of Tampa Men’s Soccer Team and University of North Florida Women’s Soccer Team during training sessions.
- B Course in Kissimmee: Participants took an inside look at Orlando City Academy, reviewing training methodologies, periodization strategies, and season planning to align with their course objectives.
