We want to thank the players that came out this year in the 96-97 Boys and Girls Tryouts. Your effort and ability made these selections very difficult to make.
Click here to access the 96-97 Boys and Girls State Pool List on the ODP page. The 96 boys and 96-97 girls will form three teams from their pools. The 97 boys age group will be forming four teams from their pool. The players listed should receive an email to the email address provided by Feb. 7 in regards to future events and your commitment. If you should not receive this information you can email Michael Strickler at mstrickler@fysa.com. We as a staff will continue to monitor these age groups in case opportunities arise for additional players in the future.

The FYSA Executive Committee has approved the implementation of procedures to be followed in the application of FYSA Rule 502.5. As all should be aware, FYSA currently is tracking red card and other ejection offenses received in tournament, league and State/Region Cup play that may qualify as underlying actions for the imposition of FYSA Rule 502.5.
502.5 Any player or coach who receives a second red card/ejection during a seasonal year or a third within two seasonal years for either violent conduct (major infraction), foul and/or abusive language directed, spitting, or referee abuse, after notification from FYSA to the player, coach and affiliate Agent of Record within seven (7) days, may be suspended for thirteen (13) games or six (6) months, whichever is longer. Multiple offenses relating to the same red card/ejection will qualify under this rule. The action may be appealed to the FYSA Protest and Appeals Committee.

RSL U16 Boys Win Region 3 Premier League East Title
The RSL U16 Boys coached by Steve Wolf and Mo Loregnard won the Region 3 Premier League East. With a record of 8-0-1, the team earned a spot at the Southern Regionals in Baton Rouge in June 2010.
The team played 9 games against State Cup Champions and finalists from Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Their only tie game came against Jacksonville.
Adult Volunteer/Member Registration
It is a major goal of FYSA to provide a safe environment for our children to enjoy the game of soccer. To this end, FYSA has in place a risk management policy, Kid’s Safe, for the protection of its players. FYSA’s risk management policy requires that every adult member that has contact with or access to our players and/or their confidential data must be cleared through a national background check. This action is for the protection of not only FYSA and its affiliate members but ultimately our most precious resource, the children entrusted to us.
As such, FYSA requires that every affiliate register any and all adult members in order for an annual criminal background check to be conducted.
The official Florida Youth Soccer Association website, www.fysa.com, is a valuable opportunity for advertisers to reach over 100,000 registered players and their parents and over 15,000 coaches and volunteers.
